Wedding reception
This hug was taken at Roger and Audrey's wedding reception at Fiesta Key.
They had a cake bought by grandma, but also had delicious pieces of key lime pie, after a huge meal.
Lots of fun, especially the bag of favors they gave each person. There was a homemade CD that we played on the way home. Little light up toys, that one of the kids (5 year old Harley) put in her hair, As it blinked she said "Look, I am a cop car!!" Her dad, Steve, is a detective.
It was a good time for everyone.
I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but Roger said it has been closed since. Too bad, they had good food.

Self Portrait
This came from Larry's phone.
He was dirty, at work on second shift at Enerfab. I think that hard hat was 30 years old.
As you can see from his shirt, he was definitely a Kentucky Wild Cats fan. He bled blue. :-)
While he was sick he watched every game in the college basketball tournament. Kentucky won the championship and it was a record breaking warm spring. Larry called it his spring.

Captain Larry
Larry's garden
Larry's tomato garden. Larry grew tomatoes for me and other people. He hated them. This 2010 was a huge bumper crop. It grew into the neighbors yard so they had tomatoes, too. I had enough tomatoes to make green tomato relish which is a delicacy in the south.
We gave it as Christmas presents that year, along with apple butter and some canned apples. Larry and I liked to cook/ create together. What fun!
New Wave Runner
Right after this picture was taken, Larry reported that he had just gone 90 miles an hour! on the new Wave Runner! I told him he was an idiot! So unsafe!!
Larry never cared about safety when there was a chance for fun, though. And he had a need for speed, part of his gusto for life. He was very happy for his new record, no matter what the risk was...
The mouth of Gunpowder Creek
This is where Gunpowder Creek dumps into the Ohio river. We dock at Gunpowder Creek, I have been there since 1992.
Karen, Lee and Larry started camping there in 1988.
Karen lived next door to Jeannie Leffler (my childhood Friend). That's how I was introduced to Turnabout, and later to Larry.
Whenever I see this view, it always signals a day of fun on the river. Good times for all!
Jolly Roger's Wake
Sisie's first fish
This was my first fish with Larry. When I pulled it up, I wanted to throw it back immediately. It was an all white catfish with red eyes. Something diabolical that I wanted to get rid of..
Larry said it was because it was caught in very deep water. Whatever the reason, it confirmed that I shouldn't be fishing. You can see how uncomfortable I was by the way I was trying to distance myself from it. Nevertheless, Larry was happy that I caught the thing. Except for salmon, it was always catch and release....
Snagging salmon
Tastes Like Chicken
This is the boat that we traded in the old Glasstron bow rider for. It had a small cabin; a place to sleep, and 4 seats, so it wasn't freindly to a lot of guests.
Larry painted Tastes Like Chicken on it at my request. We never knew what it meant, but people always laughed when they read that name.
It sucked up a plastic bag and the engine was blown, so we traded it in for the deck-boat: "The Jolly Roger". That boat was much more fun!
Huge fish
The Country Kitchen
Larry and Harold are teasing a friend at the Country Kitchen in Michigan. It is a restaurant known for the worst possible food. Its main virtue is that the food was hot, but otherwise unidentifiable.
I once ordered some chili, and got something that looked like vegetable soup. It was inedible. However, it is the only restaurant for several miles....
Sisie and Boo
This is me and "Boo" in the front of the Glasstron bow-rider. Larry had that boat when we started dating, in fact our first date was on that boat. We both love the water.
I reupholstered it, and Larry put down new flooring. It looked great! and then the engine had problems so we traded it in; Larry had had it for 15 years! It did get mistaken for being new new the day before we traded it in.
Boo liked to go out on the boat and never offered to jump in for a swim. Boo went everywhere with us, especially camping. I still miss that dog. She had a rare playful and intelligent spirit.
Larry was buried with her ashes in an urn. He would have liked that.
