Dear Danny & Melanie,
My love and my prayers are with you. Having lost Granny & Papaw, I know how hard this has been on you all and will continue to be for some time to come. We never get to move past the broken hearts, we just adjust to living with the pain. I loved my Bubby so very much. He could light up a room in a heartbeat. I miss his sense of humor, his jokes, and all of the stories he used to tell. When it comes to brothers, my Bubby was the best of the best! Danny, always know that you, Melanie and your children were the highlight of his life. He was always so proud of you and you all had his heart, unconditionally. Your dad was never one to brag about things, but when it came to you and your family, he bragged on and on and beamed like a lighthouse. Thank you for making this tribute of your dad's life. He would really like this, and yes, Skip did it his way! Much love to you and yours.

Dear Danny and Melanie, Please know how much Uncle Skip meant to me and how much he was loved. You and those kids were his world. He was one in a million at bringing laughter to any occasion and I will treasure my wonderful times with him as I always truly knew I was cared for and loved when I was with him. Sending love to you and your family now and smiling at how much ruckus I know Skip is causing in heaven! Much Love Always, Red

Larry could always make me laugh! He loved life and he lived it exactly the way he wanted to, whether it was going to Nascar races or just meeting friends for lunch and/or dinner. He enjoyed it all! Danny is correct in saying Larry never met a stranger. He made friends every place he went. He was set in his ways and we all knew that and tried to respect it. That was just Larry being "Larry." He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

We, too, called him "Papa Larry!" He was a second dad to me and another grandpa to Ellie and Will. He was a generous, kindhearted person with a great sense of humor. I'm so thankful for his friendship over the years. He never wanted to be a burden to anyone but would have done anything for his family and friends. I will always remember his funny stories about his life adventures. We will miss him so much!

I met Papa Larry through Pam. He "adopted" me as well as many others into his friendship family. He was always so kind and thoughtful to me. I'm so thankful for the time I knew him and the great memories I shared with him. You will be missed dearly papa Larry.
