graduate of Corbin High School.

He leaves behind his wife Nichole A. Jackson of Jacksonville, N.C.; his father Tim Jackson and step-mother Lorrie Johnson of Williamsburg, Ky.; his mother Jody Tonkin and her special friend Billy Bowers of Corbin; four brothers and their spouses, Barry and Megan Powell-Jackson, of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Wayne and Amanda Spurlin; Dustin Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; Jerricho Tonkin of Corbin Ky.; his furry “sisters” and “brother” Harley, Charlie Pup and Bandit; grandmothers, Mary Jackson of Corbin, Ky., Carol Cable of Paris, Ill., Edith Tonkin of Macadonia, Ohio, Diane Leiter of New Carlisle, Ohio; great-grandmother Mary Maude Davenport, Norfolk, Va.; his mother-in-law Wanda Hensley of  Frakes, Ky., sister-in-law Elizabeth Nicholas of Frakes, Ky., brother-in-law Eric Cooke, Jacksonville, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Brianna Nicholas of Frakes, Ky.; Alexander Ryan, Joseph Daniel and Savanah Marie of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; Elizabeth Ann and Brooklynn Maddison (Mattie) of Corbin, Ky.; Dakota Lee and Sabreena Leeann of Dayton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers Edgar Jackson and Barry Leiter  and brother Keith Allen Cable; great-grandparents Clara and Geno Beni.

He leaves behind many more loving aunts and uncles, other family members and numerous friends and acquaintances, all to mourn the loss of their beloved  fallen Marine.

Matt loved to laugh and make other laugh. He had a great personality and
he liked spending time with his family and friend, He liked to play
PC/Console games, He was known for his smile and sense of humor.
