I pride myself on ad-libing and moving away from the script during scenes to make the other characters laugh. So here I am on the right as Mavis singing and testifying when suddenly there's a loud thud. Learie drops to his knees from the chair and starts upstaging me. He's ad-libing and I remember trying hard to stay in character because I was dying with laughter. He caught me off guard and I loved it. Only Bruggadung could test Mavis.
I had the honor of knowing him because of my friendship/sisterhood with his Aunt Lana. Junior as he was affectionately know was the sweetest, most gentle and humble spirit you could ever meet. His signature smile could light up any room. In his speech was sincerity that poured from the heart. I know God heard your voice and gave you rest. In Him you found peace and healing and I know your soul is with Him. My last memory of Junior was at the Curry-cue fundraiser hosted by Lan and he was there supportive as always lending a helping hand whenever needed. I remember that same support when his Auntie Lan coordinated and catered Charanna's graduation celebration. You stood with her right to the end and you didn't come alone, you had the support of good friends. Auntie Lan was always there for you too, a quiet tower of strength and undying love. Your physical presence will be missed but in our hearts you'll always live. A gift from God for whom I'm truly grateful I had the opportunity to know and love.
Good Dude, Good Man, Good Soul!!! Corbin you will be missed dearly bro.May God Bless You and May Heaven Smile on You!!!
