His Life

A native of Columbus and the son of the late Taylor, Jr., and Ella Mae Flint Rogers, Lee was a 1963 graduate of Carver High School and a 1967 graduate of Savannah State University. He was a classroom educator in Harris and Stewart Counties and was also employed in the family business, Rogers Enterprises.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Taylor Rogers III, Julius Rogers, James A. Rogers, Beatrice R. Buckner and Jewell R. Murry.

Survivors include a son, Lee Alfred Rogers, Jr; two brothers, Douglas E. Rogers, Sr(Jessie) and Rev. Jerome Rogers; three sisters, Martha R. Vaughn, Orelia R. Williams and Catherine R. Woodard; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Rogers and Judy Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
