Those She Left Behind

July 19, 2012

Left here to carry on her legacy are six of her eight children, twenty-eight grandchildren, 15+great-grandchildren. She also left behind, to cherish memories shared, her three sisters, 2 step daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, an entourage of cousins, and an uncountable host of close friends.

                                                   I'M FREE :

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left it all.   I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I've now found peace at the close of day.   If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Oh yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow Look for the sunshine of tomorrow.   My life's been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times,a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all to brief; Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now-He set me free

She Is Missed !

July 18, 2012

Leila May Scott was brought into this world by her two beautiful parents, the late Stanley Grant and Cynthia Morgan, on September 7, 1939. During her time in the earth, she made huge contribution to the world by giving birth to EIGHT extraordinary children who then grew older to give her TWENTY-NINE grandchildren, who love her so very dearly. She also survived FIFTEEN great-grands and still in counting. She was married to the late Mr. Roy Scott, who was a great husband, lover, and companion to her. Leila who is also known as Joyce by many but MAMA by her family.  We spent a lot of fun-loving times with her and enjoyed her life as she did too. In the course of her 71 years being here, she had to say goodbye to her parents, her husband, her son, her daughter, and one of her grandsons but she never gave up the promise that God made and knew she'd see them again some day!  On July 28,2011, when Mama took her last few breaths and slipped off into glory, she not only left us heartbroken but left a huge void in our life! But, by and by when the morning comes, when all the saints of Christ has gathered home, we know we'll see her beautiful smile and feel her warm embrace again!

MAY SHE CONTINUE TO REST/SLEEP PEACEFULLY IN THE ARMS OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.
SHE IS MISSED AND LOVED BY US ALL !!
