Leon Earl Dunn, 71, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2104 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
A native of Johnston County, the son of the late Joseph Monroe and Mavis Hudson Dunn. He was the Baptist faith and was a retired plumbing superintendent for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, September 26th, 2014 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. David Akers. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-nine years, Sandra Rose Dunn of the home, a son, David E. Dunn (Michelle) of Wilton, a sister, Rochelle Dunn of Knightdale, three brothers; J.P. Dunn and Ronnie Dunn, both of Benson, Johnny W. Dunn of Willow Springs and two grandsons; J.T. and Nathan Dunn. He was preceeded in death by a sister, Vernell Bagley, and a brother, Charles Ray Dunn.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, September 25th, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
