Leon Michael Wilson II, 50, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014.

Leon was born October 12, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN. He earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, retired from the US Army, and worked at Titan Tire in Des Moines.

Leon is survived by his children Leon III, Julia, Kathleena, Victoria and Cristopher Wilson, father Leon M. Wilson Sr., mother Bonnie Burke-Vance, siblings Troy, LeAnna and DeAnna Wilson, nephew Noah Viers, friend and mother of his children Cristin Adams, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at Grace Church, 4200 E 25th Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, also at the church. Burial with military honors will follow the funeral at Glendale Cemetery.
