""Hope lifts up those who are filled with sorrow and carries them to a place of peace." When I first met Mr. Carter I knew that he was a kindhearted, honest gentle man with tons of knowledge and information about God and life. Every Monday morning while at work he would share his church's Bible study and other sermons with me. The little time had passed when Mr. Carter and Ms. Fran invited me to a special luncheon that will be forever humbly grateful in my heart. Retaining any and all knowledge he shared about life will forever be cherished within me always. To his children and wife may you find peace in this time of sorrow. May Christ the resurrection and the life send comfort to your heart. This day grant your loved one peace and rest. God bless you all. Mr. Carter you will be missed greatly yet will left peace, joy, testimony and a legacy to continue to carry on."

"Mr. Carter, my across the driveway neighbor. You watched my grow up, you watched my when I went into the Navy.  You watched my just like my dad.  Your son and I played as kids and you watched us.  Thank you for watching me.  I know that you are still watching us.  Now that you have your wings.  Rest on my dear neighbor, watch us from afar, But I know that you are always watching.  Tell my family hi for me and when we all meet again, what a joy it will be.  But remember you can't crown Him until I get there."

"I met Mr. Carter when I started working at Scottish Rite Tower in 2011. Right away you knew what kind of person he was, honest, genuine, God-fearing and funny. He spoke his mind, had great intentions and always offered a helping hand even offering words of wisdom and encouragement. If you were in his presence, chances are that infectious laugh had you in stitches, just thinking back to him telling funny stories while laughing so hard trying to get the story out makes me smile. I know that he is in a better place, now home with our Father. Rest in Eternal Peace Mr. Carter, certainly a pleasure knowing you :)"

"Although genetics said Sonny was a cousin, he will ever remain the   "big " brother who shared his magnificent, unique ability to love with Fred & me and "became Uncle Sonny" for Eric, our son; the brother whose nobility made it a joy to be around him; whose sharp intellect did not miss much and often resulted in many a laugh; whose love for God was so great that he passed on the kind of deep love for his wife, children, family, church and many others that is seen only in the most noble of men. As with other noble men who sleep well- never dead but sleeping- may our God permits Sonny's kind of love to live on!!"
