Leroy E. Wilson, 77, passed away on February 4, 2013 at the Symphony of Mesa Hospice in Mesa, AZ. Roy, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Missouri on June 2, 1935 to Leroy & Lela Wilson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 10:30 am at the Merle Hay Funeral Home Chapel at 4400 Merle Hay Rd in Des Moines. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Gardens.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice in 2004, two sisters, Erthel Lou (Pat) Cox and Juanita Lea Willis. He is survived by his brother, Leon Wilson of Des Moines, a step-daughter, Rhonda Miller, Runnells, a step-son, Robert Rees, Jr. of Norwalk, and two half-brothers, Randall Rees & Rodney Wilson, both of Des Moines and many nieces and nephews.
