Popular Heard County High School Senior, Lillian Evelyn Scott, age 17, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Midtown Medical Center, from injuries incurred in an automobile accident.
Funeral services for Miss. Scott were conducted on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Glenloch Baptist Church, at 2807 Glenloch Road, Franklin, Georgia with Reverend Neil Awbrey officiating. Glowing remarks of Miss Scott’s contribution to the school and community were made by Heard county High School Principal, Rodney Kay. Two musical selections were performed by the Heard County High School Marching Braves, followed by musical selections by Natalie Moncus and Amy Burnham Works. The congregation sang Amazing Grace accompanied by Nancy Heard. Those serving as pallbearers were Brad McLain, Bobby Cothran, Mark Tatum, Aubrey Westmoreland, Matt Hornesby, and Shane Barber. The interment followed in Heard County Memorial Gardens with Reverend Rick McMahan offering prayer.
Flowers will be accepted, or those who wish may make contributions to the” Lilly Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund” at Heard County High School, 545 Main Street, Franklin, Georgia 30217.
