Her Life
October 19, 2015

Lilly was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 13, 1998, the first born daughter of Jeremy and Christine Campbell Scott. From a very early age it was obvious that little Lilly would be something special! Her determination to succeed at anything, especially her school work made her favorite among her teacher’s, even as early as elementary school. By the time she reached middle school she had clearly established herself as a forerunner in her class. It was also at this time in her life that she realized her love and gift for music thru the school band program. She started her band career as a flautist, progressing after several years to the piccolo. Her love of music led her in her junior year, to the top student directorial position of drum major for the Heard County Marching Braves. The professional and showy manner in which she directed the band led them to many awards, and provided their audience a spectacular and enjoyable show! One of this year’s show stoppers was an electric guitar featuring, Lilly! As a Top Ten honor student she had accumulated many awards; Top 5 GPA awards (GPA was 4.0), Academic Excellence Award, Presidential Academic Award, member of both the National Honor Society and National Beta Clubs, member of the Academic Bowl Team, Presidential Fitness Award, Bravey Award (in the field of Band), and would have been eighth in her graduating class of 156 students. Her academic excellence afforded her the opportunity to be a dually enrolled college student at the University of West Georgia. She was a deeply caring person who, when seeing a need of a friend often times would work behind the scene to solve the problem, never taking credit for herself. Unlike many teenagers, Lilly paid attention to you when you were talking to her. Her deep devotion to her family and friends was obvious by the wonderful regard she had for all those she knew. Lilly gave in death as she gave in life. Her mature and much thought about desire to be an organ donor was lovingly carried out by her family. Lilly’s legacy will long live in the lives enriched by her generosity. Beautiful Lilly, her gorgeous smile, contagious laughter, brilliant mind, and loving spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived her mother and father, Jeremy and Christine Scott; beloved little sister, Piper Scott; grandmother, Jeanette Scott; boyfriend, Coby Booth all of Franklin, Georgia; and many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn and Clifton Bumford, and Randolph Scott.
