We Still Remember Lily

May 27, 2016

Lily was the kindest and sweetest student I ever had!  Tragically, she was taken from this earth much too soon.  At the school where Lily attended, we continue to honor her each year.  We do this by allowing our 6th grade students to select one (or more) of their classmates who they believe best emulates the two qualities of Lily which always stood out: kindness and sweetness.  We give many awards at our school, but every student is told that receiving the Lily Ngo Memorial Award is the greatest honor that a student can receive.

Lily, God brought you to Heaven because He had a special purpose for you.  It saddened us that you left us, and we will always miss you.  But I know in my heart that somehow you know that we have not forgotten you.

Your teacher,

M. Tomlin

Loving Cousin

August 23, 2013

"It was about Christmas time last year (2006). We exchanged presents. I got a Bratz doll. She got a lamp from our family. At night me and Lily would go next to the game room window. We talked about guys, parents being so weird, and etc. That's my story about Lily! Etheir way she is gone. At least she doesn't feel the pain before she died. She is in a safer place. A place where she isn't hurt. But I will always remember Lily as my sister." - Talena, aged 11, cousin

Missing Dearly by Uncle

August 23, 2013

"...I was devastated by news of her death, and infuriated to learn that the Defendant was not only inebriated beyond the legal limit, but also in this country illegally...Lily was a beautiful and sweet young girl with her entire life in front of her until the Defendant took her life, and brought great tragedy to our family. I have many happy memories of Lily: learning to fly a kite in the park; fishing in a local lake and playing video games with her..." - Brian Curran
