Linda D. Halscheid, 72, of South Harrison Twp., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, at home.

Linda Darlene Standish was born to Myles and Henrietta Standish on November 18, 1943.  She lived in Westville with her parents and brother Myles (Butch).   She graduated from Woodbury High School in 1962.  Linda was a book-keeper for Weststeel, Inc.  Linda and her two girls Darlene and Kellyanne moved to Mullica Hill (South Harrison) when Linda married Edward O. Halscheid.  Known to many as “Mom Mom” she loved children and animals.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, volunteering at the South Harrison Township Elementary school library, spending time with her family and in Ocean City.

Beloved wife of the late Edward O. Halscheid. Loving mother of Darlene Searle (Gary) of Mullica Hill, Kellyanne Metheny (Robert) of S. Harrison, and stepchildren, Edward Halscheid (Joanne) of S. Harrison, Debby Parker (Scott) of Bel Air, MD and Kristie Halscheid of S. Harrison. Devoted grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 7. Linda was the dear daughter of  Henrietta (Weinhardt) and the late Myles Robert Standish, Sr., and sister of the late Myles Robert Standish, Jr.

Her viewing will be held Sun. Jan. 3, 2016 from 7-9 pm and Mon. Jan. 4. from 10-11 am at FERTIG FUNERAL HOME, 63 N. Main St., Mullica Hill, NJ 08062, followed by Linda’s service. Burial Eglington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
