Logan Dewey Forsyth, Jr. 87, a longtime resident of Durham County passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at his home.
A native of Vance County, he was the son of the late Logan Dewey Forsyth, Sr. and Ella Candice Carrington. He was of the Baptist faith and was an automotive technician at Morgan Motors in Durham for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. January 30, 2016 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Dr. Devon Blanton. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are his soul-mate of fifty-seven years, Carolyn Clark Forsyth of the home, four daughers, Louise Riley of Hillsborough, Diane Jones of Butner, Yvonne Hurley of Durham, Lisa Kiser of Creedmoor, two sons, Logan Dewey Forsyth, III of Durham, Timmie Forsyth of Johnston County, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and a sister, Judy Lopossay of Durham. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Forsyth and a great-grandson, Bode W. Wade.
Visitation will be held Friday evening January 29, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times, at the home.
