This memorial website is being created to honor my mother Lorett Ann Kolodey Riddick. As I start writing this on Jan 12, 2012 I still am having a hard time imagining our family & the world without her. She was one of those people who was full of love for life, people, animals, flowers, music, dancing, photography, the theater, reading, cooking and caring for & entertaining friends & family.
Check out the video of her dancing with Dad to Blue Suede Shoes at our wedding! (gallery/videos)
There are so many stories to tell, so many pictures to share and I hope Lorett's dear family and friends will add their memories and photos here too.
Farewell
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond gilt on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand by my grave and cry... I am not there... I did not die.
~ Robert Hepburn
Tributes
Leave a tributeThis is such a beautiful memorial you are doing here.
My thoughts are with you xx
All my love,
Kira
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
I am sure you are looking back , as I did when I lost my Mom, with a perspective you may never have thought you would possibly have..
the good times ..the bad times..they are all part of a much greater whole...She instilled in you all the good that you will carry on with..
Wish i could have meet her tho. I know she was a interesting lady and special lady.
