A daughter of the late Willie and Jewel Washington Hamilton, Mrs. Davis was born in Sylvester, GA and was a 1961 graduate of Queensland High School in Fitzgerald, GA. A member of Nazareth Baptist Church, she served with the Senior Choir and the Pastor's Aide Board. She was retired from AAFES, Ft. Benning, GA, and was a member of the Jolly Matrons Civic and Social Club and Order of Easter Star, Modern Free Affiliation. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Arthur Washington, John and Willie B. Hamilton and Rev. Joe Powell.

Survivors include: her husband of 54 years, MSG (Ret) Robert Davis; a daughter, Dionne D. Smith (Jerrell); three beloved grandsons, John, Joshua and Nathaniel Smith; five brothers, Robert Hamiton (Mary), Calvin Hamilton (Betty), Solomon McClendon, Joseph Hamilton and James Hamilton; five sisters, Roberta Williams, Annie Harper, Madeline Gilbert (Mickey), Rachel Wright (Thomas) and Barbara Carter (Mickey); ten in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
