Hi mom, long time no talk to. I think you know why...weepy karen, as usual. Just when I think of you and how much I miss you. Well, do you like my hair? I thought you'd say that, hahaha. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think I'm looking at you. It's wierd, but cool. I went to the doc, and well, you know. Mom, can you let me know how it is up there? If you can, later, karen

God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers, and our mom knew her family so well. She understood things we couldn't say,or explain, she alway's knew what was going on with her family and her heart, being like a deep abyss was alway's full of love and forgiveness. Our mother was truly the most beautiful woman we have ever seen. Thank you so much mom, for loving us. I Love You

As far as I know, this was everyone's last time to go to the Island House. July of 2008, it was. Wonderful time, yet ended too soon

Saturday Mornings in Hawaii

August 5, 2012

One of the things that I looked forward to was on saturday mornings, dad would take me to horseback riding lessons.  I usually rode on Peanut, but sometimes she wouldn't be available and I'd have to ride one that I didn't know. Dad knew I was scared, so he'd hold the bridle while I got up and just when I was sure the horse was going to chew off my leg, dad would put either a carrot or an apple in my hand to give to the horse. He said it was important to make friends by offering something that is considered a treat. Then the horse won't forget me and I won't have to be afraid anymore. Of course it worked. He and I went together to the stables for over a year, then we got into tennis. But that's another story.
