September 22, 2016

Mr. McCormick was born November 26, 1942 in Troup County, GA to the late Luke McCormick and Lorena Peggy Ann Garrison McCormick. He was a Baptist by faith. He was a gifted welder, and worked for Durand-Wayland at their LaGrange facility. He had an inventive mind, and used his talent of welding at home to develop gadgets that proved to be useful. He loved to tinker with odd things and could be found in his workshop working on his next invention.

In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching old western movies. His favorite times were spent in fellowship with family and friends. He loved to joke around and keep something going all the time.

Survivors include: one daughter, Tammy Parrott of Franklin; two sons: Marvin McCormick (Tesia) and Tracy McCormick (Cindy) all of Franklin; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Annette Chatman (Shelby); and a number of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann Roberson McCormick.
