Grandma said to me while she was sick to take care of my mother..she's your only mother..the one who gave birth to you.......I never forget the look on her eyes..she had a way of reading your face when she looked at you..you couldn't get one passed her:-) ..and you know what grandma?I did it.I took care of her and I kept my promise..She's doing well.Madres una.The only one.She began telling me stories about my mom.Some sad..some good...some just didn't make sense.But thank you for the time you took while sick to share these stories with your grand kid.And my promise lives on...

I remember years back when I was a kid living in Reading Pa.late 80's early 90's...my mom was living in a small apartment with her Four small children..4th street.grandma got sick..but we heard wrong..we thought she was dieing..so we all huddled together in a small bed in the corner of the bedroom.. mom, Eli,me,Alex,Gigi..crying.. saying grandmaaa nooo..then we get a phone call from grandma saying she was fine:-)...we all look at each other like...“thank God it was not true."She was fine, and we all laughed about it together.. she said we were silly:'( ....luv you grandma.
