Mabel Woodlief Blackwell, 89, a resident of Mountain Creek went home to be with her Lord Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Durham Regional Hospital.
 
 A native of Granville County, the widow of Elbert P. Blackwell and the daughter of the late Joel G. and Myrtie Hendricks Woodlief. A member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church and worked outside the home and was a homemaker.
 
 Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Mt. Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Richard. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
 
 Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis D. Blackwell of Oxford, two sons, E. Larry Blackwell (Teresa) of Asheboro, Dale G. Blackwell (Debbie) of Oxford, three sisters, Dollie W. Elliott of Oxford, Myrtie W. Daniel of Hopewell, Virginia, Ellen W. Clack of Colonial Heights, Virginia, two brothers, Joel Woodlief, Jr. of Butner, Kenneth Woodlief of Oxford, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Woodlief.
 
 Visitation will follow the funeral service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home of Phyllis Blackwell.
