Maggie was born April 5, 1916 in Kalaoa Hawaii to Isaia Joseph Holi Poai and Rachel Kahelemauna Waialee.  She is the sister to Elizabeth, Sarah, Annie, Joseph and Billy Poai.  She has been reunited with her parents, siblings, husband William Kanui Jr., grandsons Pili Boy Kanui, Blu Kanui , great grandsons Eric Brandon Kawaha, Edwin  Bounphinsay and Justin Hultenschmidt. 

She leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories to her five sons, Sam Kawaha, Willam Jr, Pili, John and Edwin Kanui, her three daughters Anna Wesel, Margaret Hill and Lucille Morris. 21 grandchildren 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
