Marcella Einhorn Hamre, 93, a longtime resident of Butner, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at UniHealth PAC - Carolina Point in Durham, North Carolina.

A native of Winona, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Arnold and Ella Emphke Einhorn.  She was a member of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Butner and retired from the Postal Service.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 20, 2012 at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Butner by Sister Carol Loughney.  Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara H. Leonard of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a son, Alan L. Hamre (Sylvia) of Creedmoor, three grandsons, James Leonard of Maryland, Greg Leonard of Raleigh and Scott Hamre of Creedmoor, two great granddaughters and two great grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Sunday Evening, August 19, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at 1124 Ivey Circle, Creedmoor, North Carolina 27522.

Omission of flowers is requested and memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
