Her Life

She Did It Her Way...

April 17, 2013

Born June 9, 1940 in Bridgeport Connecticut to Carolyn and Frank Marchese, Marcia was one of two children and was an active participant in her community.  She graduated from Lauralton Hall in 1958 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Education from Indiana University as well as a Masters in Communication from Eastern Michigan University.  It was at IU where she met and fell in love with her husband Jay B. Hunt. Their love affair spanned over 50 years and defined each of them in immeasurable ways.

Her career brought her much joy, whether inspiring young minds in the classroom or shaping school policy in the California Legislature to being the first to launch computers in a Cupertino classroom as well as starting her own retail business in San Francisco. But it was Marcia’s hospitality, graciousness and one-of-a-kind style that made her a unique and classy lady.
