Born on June 21, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA

Sister to four brothers, Brother Barnabus (Lawrence Brownsey) John (D) (Mary Jane), Dan (Sally), Andrew (D) (Terri).

Mother of seven, Barbara Acker, Thomas (Tess), Robert (D), Anna Marie Hershman (Getty) (Ellis), Edward (D), Michael, Brian (Barbara).
She was grandmother to ten, Joscelyn, Jason, Matthew, Elizabeth, Janessa, Noah (D), Christopher, Brianna, Nicole and T.J.

Great Grandmother to Miana.

Margaret had an indomitable spirit-filled life. Family and friends will never forget her quick wit and hardy laugh. Her creative side led her to be the salon owner of Margaret’s on Rising Sun Ave. and the Hollywood salon on Fox Chase Rd. She found respite in her gardens, growing the biggest tomato for the contest in her village and her unrivaled flowers around the house.

Her grandchildren were inspired by her great strength and her open-armed love of life. As one granddaughter put it, “She always stopped to smell the roses, but she grew wildflowers.”
