Margaret was born in Stanley County Durham on 12th September 1941.  An only child to Joe and Lizzie Sanderson. 
The family moved to Corby when Margaret was 9 years old.  She attended Samuel Lloyd Grammer School until she was 16 where she went on to Secretarial college in Kettering.
While she worked at British Steel in Corby she met Alex Farr, whom she went on to marry in November 1967.
After 6 years of trying and being told she could never have children, she fell pregnant with what would be her only child.
Lorraine was born on 14th March 1973. After the breakup of her marriage Margaret and Lorraine moved to a 2 bedroomed house in CransleyGardens, just around the corner from the grandparents.
