Margaret Marie Thorpe Rayl, 68, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her home.

A native of Nottoway County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Faison Thorpe, Sr. and Emma Lorena Fitts. Margaret was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and worked at Maxway for many years.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday October 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Pastor Buddy Ritter. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Surviving is her son, Larry B. Rayl, Jr. (Tonya) of Oxford and two grandchildren, Danielle and David.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home of her neice, Lynn Ronquest.
