ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Margaret Waterhouse, 90, born on June 6, 1923 and passed away on October 27, 2013. We will remember her forever.

We had a scattering of her ashes in Yosemite on Saturday the 19th of April 2014. David, myself (Carl), Lisa, Judith, and Dale from this generation. Michael, Christina, Jason, Jacqui, and Jessica from the next generation. Marcus, Summer Rose, and Luna from the generation beyond. The weather was very nice, and the adults each spoke about what Margaret had meant to them.

The primary location is https://www.google.com/maps/@37.737696,-119.5601385,436m/data=!3m1!1e3 , around Lat 37.737696 North, 119.5601385 West. It's a very small meadow, a 15 minute walk up along the river from the Upper/Lower Pines bridge. It seems someone else planted three trees in a row with a rock at the base of each. It is about 100 feet in from the river, which was a requirement; the area may have been part of the Upper Pines campground many years ago.

David and I scattered a few more of her ashes in what would be ideal mushroom hunting country, above the road 0.3 miles before the Tuolomne Meadows turnoff on the way out of the valley.

Margaret was my Mother in Law, and part of my life for forty or so years. She was an adventurer, driving to Canada, and even Alaska by herself. She travelled to India for six months by herself too, that was in the 70's I think, back when it was not so travel friendly. She was fiercely independent and always knew what she wanted to say. I thank her for bringing her son David in to the world, Jason's father. And I thank her for bringing her son Carl in to the world. He and his family continue to be an important part of our life. The pictures I posted are Jason's second birthday party, and Margaret getting ready to take off somewhere exciting in her truck. Both are from the 80's. Rest in Peace Margaret.
