Heaven’s newest garden is now in bloom,
I can see you starting on it as soon as you left the room.
Today you received the keys to your heavenly mansion,
Now to make room for all of us, you’re already planning the expansion.
I know your place in heaven will have a good view,
Because you told God, I need to keep an eye on a few.

God bestows the heavenly rewards upon your head,
But as always you will choose to share them with others instead.
For years walking has been so hard to try,
But today I ask you how it feels to fly.
I’m sure it felt good to catch up with grandpa on this date,
And I bet he was excited to have your homemade cooking on his plate.

First of thank you for the gift of love,
Now you’re sharing it up above.
Today you feel no more sadness, hurt, or pain,
In heaven the ski’s never rain.
I picture you standing with your loved ones at heaven’s gate,
The smile on your face as you share with them the joy of your new found fate.
