Today Mom would have been 80 years old.  She loved any reason to celebrate and birthdays were no exception.  There would always be a card in the mail for anyone celebrating a birthday or when we were young, a card and present on the breakfast table.  Today, my son Dylan made me stay in bed while he decorated the breakfast table with a card to show that he knew I'd be thinking of her today.  We talked about Grandma and set up a lego camping scene with Grandma, me and Dylan all camping together and enjoying our coffee or cocoa.  She even took him fishing in the canoe on the construction paper lake.  If she were alive, that is exactly how she would want to celebrate her birthday.  So, here's to you Mom.  We love you and miss you and wish you were here camping and fishing with us.
