Marjorie Bruce Beall passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Florence Hand Nursing Facility in LaGrange, GA. Mrs. Beall, 82, was born on Tuesday, December 2, 1930 in Opelika, AL, to Dr. Byron Sanford Bruce and Mrs. Aileene Frederick Bruce. She was the wife of the late Thomas Julian Beall, Jr. Also, preceding her in death were her three brothers, Byron Bruce, of Elba, AL, Dr. James Bruce and Homer Bruce, both of Opelika, AL. She is survived by her four children, Byron Bruce Beall, Thomas Julian Beall, III (wife Laura), Aileene Beall Goodner and Marie Elizabeth Beall. Twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive her. She was also the grandmother of the late Mary Beth Goodner. Mrs. Beall attended Converse College and Auburn University, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. She was devoted to her husband, her children and her church. She was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection in West Point, GA. Because of her great love for animals, she was a supporter of the Valley Humane Society and the ASPCA. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
