Former West Point Resident Dies at 93

Marjorie Stephens Moreman passed away on February 25, 2015.

After her mother passed away Marjorie was raised by Dr. and Mrs. C.C. Bean in Bowdon Georgia. She was the wife of Dr. J. R. (Bob) Moreman and daughter-in-law of Dr. and Mrs. M. M. (Max) Moreman of West Point. She lived in West Point for over 50 years and was currently living in Atlanta.

In 1943 she graduated from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Life Master Duplicate Bridge Player and toured the world teaching this popular game. She also enjoyed playing golf and dancing.

Preceded in death by her husband she is survived by her children J.R. (Bobby) Moreman and his wife Brenda of Chamblee, Karen Moreman Maddox and her husband Cone of Atlanta, Charles Stephens Moreman and his wife Robin of Grayson, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Evelyn Moreman Kirby of LaGrange.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Marjorie loved cats and in lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to The Humane Society.
