Mark Clifford Stevenson, 61, passed away at home on January 29th, surrounded by his family. Mark was born March 14th, 1956, in Graham, NC. He was raised in Jacksonville before moving to Oxford, NC and later Albemarle, NC.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis and Dorothy Vaughn Stevenson. Survivors include his sisters, Marcia Gaylor (Jimmy) and Lisa Stevenson, niece Emily Gaylor, nephew Stevenson Gaylor and great-nephew Sullivan Gaylor.

A graveside service and burial will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 1:00 at Hester Baptist Church in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autism Speaks or a charity of your choice.

This quote by Mother Teresa reflects Mark’s life: Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: Kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.
