This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Marsha Hanly, 37, born on August 12, 1974 and passed away on May 16, 2012. We will remember her forever.
We hope that this memorial of Marsha will be a way that Avery and Mason can learn more about their mother when they become older and are curious about the type of person Marsha was, the things that she liked or didn't like, things that she enjoyed and how she enjoyed them. Avery and Mason will delight in hearing how silly, dedicated, compassionate and devoted their mom was and the stories that she left us with. The more specific you are about your memories of Marsha (phrases that she used often, things she said to you, snacks that she ate the most, etc.), the more they will be able to form a vision of her.

My name is Bill and I just discovered that she had passed away. I am deeply saddened to hear of this news. She was really a special woman and a friend.
I worked with Marsha for a couple of years in the ICU Step Down Unit at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
She was one of the kindest and sweetest people that I have ever met in the Navy. I wondered why such a wonderful woman left Midwest to pursue a career in the Navy. Eventually, I concluded that it was her way to venture out from Pender, Nebraska to see “see the World and have an adventure.” I think that it was an awesome opportunity to spread her wings and that she did.
While I worked with her, she earned the nickname “Corn Flakes, ” which fit her to a tee. Other then she was blonde, she was pure as the wind driven snow, wholesome, raised on a farm in the Midwest with good morals and values.
I respect and admire her for what she had done. As for myself in this stage in my life I would trade it all to leave Chicago and move to a farming community where the good people.
I hope that her family in Pender, her Husband and Children fine peace.
Marsha, was an absolute delight and wonderful woman and I am blessed to have known her.
Very Respectfully,
Bill Hohman, CWO4, USN
