Martha “JoAnn” Cook, 76, of Perry, KS., was found deceased at her home in Perry on July 26, 2012. She was born October 11, 1935 in Richards, MO., the daughter of Ernest E. and Ruby Hazel Evans Goddard. She was a 1953 graduate of Richards High School, in Richards, MO. She worked for Key Work Clothing Company in Ft. Scott, KS as a seamstress, K-mart Cafeteria Grill in Lawrence, KS., and Packer Plastics in Lawrence, KS. She married Orville Lee Cook on Feb. 28, 1954 in Rhinehart, MO. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2011. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Cook and Roy Cook, of Lecompton, KS, three Daughters, Jeanette Davis, Salida, CO., Marlette Rafferty, Lawrence, KS., and Paulette Ogilvie, Perry, KS., one sister Maxine Burnett, Ft. Scott, KS., and 18 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son David Cook, in November of 1980 and grandson Blane Cook, in September of 2007. Memorial Services will be 10:00AM Tuesday, July 31 at the Perry American Legion. Private family burial was at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry.
