this was when i first started to work at miscelles. mischelles at the time didnot have a liqour license, tracy ice and i , use to sneak dwn to the lounge for a shaker full of oatmeal cookies. martha was the first person to make and teach me how to make oatmeal cookies. they were the bomb!  also i remember martha shooting pool with all the amatures, and dancing to ole black betty!  to this day when i hear ole black betty, i think of martha dancing around the pool tables and doing tequila shots. she will forever be missed, she was one of the wisest women i know.  love ya   debbi

I am so sad..., she is the coolest woman I ever met in Corona,

I used to frequent the Lounge Back in 2001 - 2002 - daily. Martha Bartended on Weeknights and when it was slow  Martha Taught me the Box Step.  How cool is that!  She never said a cross word to me. At the time most people that were around there -  didn't like me ... I wasnt very friendly it seems, but if you know Martha you know she only saw and brought out the good in people. I cannot find the words right now - but there was much I should have told her.

I wanted to be just like her -  I mean it - I still do.
If we could all give smiles as generously - and be as easy to be around as Martha - the world would be a better place. That is the Martha I knew. 

My Condolences and deepest compassion to her family and all that knew and loved her, I feel you.....

my story of Martha was the love she had for her children. A large family and so much love. When James marred my sister Annette we alo gained the large Burns family. from mom and dad down to the all of the family. my memory of visiting in Maggies kitchen and vannie was there. Little did i know would be the last I would see of these sweet ladies. i love this site and know Martha would to. i lost my hubby John two years ago and I was happy he was able to meet some of the Burns clan thanks for letting me share this. sharon

I always dreaded it when Martha would put her quarters up to challenge the pool table because she usually beat me.  My best performance , a few years ago at the Lounge I finished third...Jimmy won...Martha  second.  I love you...You will be missed by everybody who knew  you.
