Staff Sergeant (Retired) Marvin B. Shields Sr. of Columbus, GA passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. He was 69 years of age. 

The Homegoing Celebration for Sergeant Shields will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Progressive with interment in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Bishop Larry Garrett will officiate.

Visitation is Thursday, 3 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
