Mrs. Hilton was born July 23, 1925 in Americus, GA, the daughter of the late Ms. Willie Evans. She was a graduate of Spencer High School and was a member of the First African Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, president of the Senior Usher Board, with the FAB's and Mary Mission. She was an underwriter with North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company for 40+ years. She was also member of the Eureka Social Club.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Jones, a grandson, Warren Jones, and her sister, Lucy M. Lewis. Survivors include: her devoted husband of 63 years, SSG (Ret) Warren R. Hilton; two daughters, Denise Hilton Cunningham and Thalyia Hilton Shiver; four grandchildren, Marcus Bivins, Karlotta Jordan (Jose'), William Shiver and Mary Shiver; eleven great grandchildren to include Brandon and Omar, loving in-laws; a host of other family and friends.
