His Life
September 18, 2016

Mathew Lamont King, a resident of Waynesboro, Georgia, died on September 16, 2016. He was 62.  Born on December 19, 1953 in Boston, Mass., Mathew will always be remembered as an avid reader and a fan of old TV Western shows.  He had a tremendous sense of humor, with a quick wit, and a devil-may-care attitude toward life. Highly intelligent, Mathew attended advanced classes and went on to Boston Latin School, but formal education never appealed to him, and he left before graduating. He did later earn a GED, and received additional training in computer programming. Fittingly, Mathew's first job was working at the local public library in Roxbury, Mass. Some of the varied jobs that he held throughout his lifetime include factory worker, short order cook, and plant supervisor.

Mathew was predeceased by his parents Francis C. King I and Theresa M. King (née Smith). He is survived by his devoted daughter, Timika Wimberly; his son, Mathew Walker; four grandchildren, Vanessa, Chenoa, Jovon, and Levi Wimberly; his good friend, Dawn Walker; four sisters, Satyra V., Sarah E., and Mignon A. King, and Veda King Gibson; four brothers: Francis C. II, George F., Hannibal, and Samuel L. King; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
