Father, while remembering today as the day you left this world, we recall the passing of our Mother too. Like the great souls that never die, we believe you are still around and will bring us together again and again. Yes, love is immortal, and death is only a horizon.

We your children will always remember you both - those special smiles and laughter and those caring hearts. We will always remember you our father and mother because there will never be any others to replace you both in our hearts, and the love we will always have for you.

As we look back over time we find ourselves wondering…did we remember to thank you enough for all you did for us. For all the times you were by our sides to help and support us…to celebrate our successes, to understand our problems and accept our defeats. Or for teaching us by your example, the value of hard work, good judgment, courage and integrity. We wonder if we ever thanked you for the sacrifices you made to let us have the very best for your meagre means.

If we actually forgot to show enough gratitude for all the things you did and sacrifices you made for us, we are thanking you now and we are hoping you have always known how much you meant and will always mean to us.

Father, Mother, we love you both for an infinite number of reasons. I personally feel so blessed to have had you as my parents and I’m thankful for the wonderful life you gave me. I would like to celebrate you: magnificent man and woman, loyal, loving, devoted father and mother, and true friends of everyone. Please know that my list of gratitude is endless for you both.

I will remember all you taught me. I am touched by your passings but won't be sad, because you will always be my parents.
