Her Life
November 25, 2012

Mrs. Craft was born in Randolph County on Friday, November 12, 1909, the oldest of eleven children born to the late Martin Luther and Arizona Britt Nobley.  She was a member of the Living Word Assembly of God for over 50 years, where she was a very active member, teaching Sunday School and serving on various boards in the church.  Mrs. Craft loved to bake and her love for cooking is attributed to her working at Hall’s café for a number of years.  She loved to sew and did until she was 99 years old, everything from making children’s clothes, to dolls, rabbits and quilts.  She made sure that each of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren all had a quilt from Mawmaw.  She also enjoyed flowers and loved to share any that she had with others.  She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Pimelton Craft, her parents, four brothers and five sisters, a daughter Marie Meadows, and two sons-in-law, Aaron Meadows and Aubrey Hall and is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Horace) Welch and Lorene Craft; nine grandchildren, Bobby (Karla) Meadows, Joann Meadows, Edward Hall, Steve Welch, Britt (Susie) Welch, Susan (Ray) Webb, Ester Kay (Danny) Reaves, Carron Meadows, and Pam (Scott) Taylor; 19 great grandchildren, and  7 great great grandchildren; her sister, Dot Allen; three sisters-in-law, Ruby Craft, Delia Nobley, and Adele Nobley; and a number of nieces and nephews.
