Fishing
I remember once when me an my young brother Al (the fonz) had a MDO ( maori day off) from school an being lil renagades that we where decided that we needed some pakeha's fishing gear more than them, so we borrowed them for the day, the police said we stole them, hmmmmm we were giving them back honest...hehehehe
anyways we was crossing the bridge in Turangi all decked out in waders fishing rod etc etc, when this jeep stopped beside us an this voice that we both knew ohhh soo well an being a great fisherman himself, ask hows it going fella's getting any bites, with that brother Al in some stupid ole fulla voice replied nothing mate, with that the ole man replied , well seen you fella's aint got nothing tell your brother Maurice an you to get your black a#@ to the cop shop an explain ole Burt Dunn the local coppa an drinking buddy of the ole mans why we had somebody elses fishing gear ( bugga ) caught in possesion of stolen goods hehehehe, with this we were locked up till Dad came for us after he an Burt been to the pub for what appeared to be for ever then getting a good ole as@# whippingbut hey was fun in a sorta way challenging the boundries with our Dad, knowing we were always gona loose ........... Love ya Dad
