Maxine Rogers Aiken, 95, a lifetime resident of Creedmoor passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at her home.

Maxine was the daughter of the late Alvis Judson and Vallie Mangum Rogers. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Creedmoor where she taught Sunday School for over fifty years. Maxine also was co- owner of Aiken Insurance Company in Creedmoor and was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church Creedmoor by Rev. James Shelley. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Karen W. Brown of Creedmoor; a sister Mary Frances Rogers Lyon of Durham; four grandsons, nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Paula Kershner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus T. Aiken; a son, Robert M. “Don” Brown; two brothers, William and Edward Rogers and a foster son, Paul Jones.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at First Baptist Church Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
