The daughter of Hatsutaro and Ito Hatano Shimizu, Mrs. Maxwell was born in Toyoko, Japan and has resided in Columbus since 1992. She was a homemaker who was a proud wife and mother, who loved flowers and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. Maxwell. Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her husband of 43 year, Robert Lee Maxwell;one daughter, Yvette Vicki Maxwell; one grandchild, Kyonte Maxwell; three siblings, Shigeru Shimizu, Makoto Shimizu, and Shizue Kabashima;beloved in-laws, Louise Howard (George), Joe Maxwell (Lee), Joanne Jackson (O.J.), and John Brown; a devoted friend, Willie Patrick; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
