This is a poem I wrote in my head while unable to sleep one night, well over a year after her passing. She is still on my heart every single day.

The most beautiful human being I ever saw was merely a child

Her bravery held me in awe 

Her kindness humbled me

Her beautiful smile and laughing, loving eyes captured my heart

She was gracious to all.

I had never seen beyond this realm

Until she took my hand, and led me there

Why she was taken so young

I will never know

She was surely an angel

Who has returned whence she came

A star shining brightly in the Heavens to guide us

I will follow her.
