His Life

Michael Anthony Jackson was born June 26, 1956 in Troup County, GA. He was the third child born to the parents of the late Haywood Jackson, Sr. and Irene Holloway Jackson.

At an early age, he confessed Christ and united with the New Zion Baptist Church. Michael was a 1974 graduate of Lanett High School. After high school, Michael attended LA Junior College, Inglewood, CA fro 1974-1976, where he played foodtball. After completing Junior College, he returned to Lanett, AL, where he became employed by West Point Pepperell. Later Michael moved to Houston, TX, where he was employed by RR Donnelly Printing Company with over 20 year of service.

Michael enjoyed gardening, cooking, grilling and spending time with family and friends.

On October 13, 2015 God saw that he was tried and sent an Angel to bring him to rest. We love you, but God loved you best.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Haywood Jackson, Jr. and David Lee Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Betty Avery Jackson, Houston, TX; one son, Wesley Jackson, Houston, TX; a loving mother, Irene Jackson, Lanett, AL; five brothers, Joe N. Jackson, Jeffery Jackson, Lanett, AL, Milton Jackson, Tokyo, Japan, James P. Jackson, Pensacola, FL and Marcus Jackson, Clarksville, TN; four sisters, Sara Bailey, Lanett, AL; Sherry Fitzpatrick Phenix City, AL, Tracie Jackson and Regina Hulin, West Point, GA; ten sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends; one special cousin, Jimmy Askew; and many other friends from Houston, TX.
