I have so many special memories of Mike, but one of my favorites is the day he found out I had put a happy ad in the newspaper for him, and he had a date with another girl that same day. When Mike & his date showed up at a family cookout, Uncle Tubby tried to mock the words that he had read in the happy ad until Mike informed him that the girl he was with was not me. Less than a year later, the morning of our wedding, Mike got a phone call from that other girl. When she asked him why he quit calling her, he told her that he had "sorta started seeing someone". When I asked him why he had responded that way, he told me that he had to have a backup plan in case I stood him up. Mike had such a great sense of humor, and that is just one of many examples of that.
