Michael Lenwood Dean, 60, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 at his home.
He was born February 15, 1958 in Granville County, the son of Vasel Lenwood Dean and Delores Yarboro Dean. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was employed at Liggett Myers for thirty-five years.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Timothy Atkinson and Rev. Keith Williams. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving other than his parents are his wife, Jean Carol Collins Dean of the home; son, Brandon Michael Dean of Rougemont; sister, Marsha Dean Baird and husband Richard of Oxford; granddaughter, Brittain Tiffany Dean of Rougemont; nephew, Darrell Baird of Oxford; two step-children, Scottie Wayne Bailey and Christopher Brooks Bailey.
Flowers are kindly accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1171 Hwy. 158 Oxford, NC 27565.

I worked with Mike at Liggett. Please know my thought and prayers are with you all. Mike will be missed. I enjoyed talking with him about them Blue Devils and what we were going to cook on the grill. RIP my friend. You will be missed. Deb

I had the privilege to work with Mike at Liggett. He was such a funny guy. I really enjoyed our talks as well as his jokes. I wish peace for the family and Mike we all will see you one day again. In the mean time keep everybody in heaven in line. RIP buddy!!! You will be missed!!
