Winnie the Pooh

March 15

A funny and sweet memory came to me. There was a time that Michael was in a little bouncy swing because the boy LOVED to bounce.

Kimberly would sing “Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, la la la la la la la” and he would have this huge smile on his face and bounce even higher.

Also, I remember babysitting one night but Kimberly was still home. He started to have a seizure. I didn’t realize it but Kimberly in her motherly instincts, set him down on the floor and positioned his head. It was done so calmly that to the regular Joe Schmoe, they wouldn’t know anything was happening. His episode passed and he was back to normal.

all this took place in a span of five minutes and I remember thinking “Wow, that’s true love to learn someone so deeply that you can read the tiny nuances that most couldn't.”

Favorite things...making me squirm. Going to seventh grade and telling your speech and language therapist how a chicken sounds: FuckFuckFuck. How iwas the time alone with Papa : Slacker. What is Susie's favorite drink: Vodka. Do you want More Pudding? Not unlike OliverTwist...MORE!!

Favorite time of my life with you is allowing you to sit in the front of a VW Mini Van loaner. I'ld be remiss if I don't' share...you Never Ever sat in the front seat of any car. We went to the Shrine. Our Lady of the Island. You seemed amazed. Passing the Monument of the Pieta I silently wept. What possessed you to learn over and put your head my arm and comfort me ? I believe you were always an Angel watching over Me.

Singing Brothers with Mathias. He smiled and you quietly reached over and grabbed the back of his.hair, making him scream!

Poking Leslie with your boney prominences and calling her.Catie.

First Thanksgiving with Emma and trying to pull her off the chair for a casual mixed martial arts session.

Back flips into our pool while Beth took pictures and I had a coronary.

I should save some memories for next year since I feel you are Forever Missed.

I was fairly young myself when I first met Michael (maybe 13 or 14). I baby sat for him and his brother Mathias on occasional weekends. I also spent some time with Kimberly while they both played.

Michael LOVED to jump. I could see a face of pure joy when he was in his jumper able to reach the sky. He always wanted to go up, even as a toddler. He loved Winnie the Pooh and Tiger. He was gentle and unabashedly loving. He was also curious about his toys and the world around him.

I didn't get to know him as he grew up but I think at our core, we are born and are innately our true selves when we're babies. Michael was a sweet kind and gentle soul. He most likely remained to be that same person as he got older.

The years keep going but the positive ripples of love we leave behind on this planet remain with our loved ones forever. Kimberly was an amazing mother and Michael was lucky to have so much love in his life.

Dear Michael

You left us on this day 3 earth years ago to go back home to God.

We miss you and love you! However, we know that God called you back to your job as Archangel, St. Michael. Please share with God how lucky we were to be a member of your heavenly family.

We are all trying to do our very best on earth and remember our teachings of what is expected of us. When we see a bird soaring to the sky or a frightened animal on the ground we know it's God's provence. A prayer goes up to protect the frightened animal and to make the bird fly high. Know that you are looking down and helping protect us all.

You will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts forever! How priviledged we are. May God continue to bless you, our angel.
