Milldred was born in a farmhouse just past the cemetery in Jefferson. 
she  lived 3 months in a tent , while her Dad was building the dirt road into Brightenbush up by Detroit.. 
she met her Husband's sister and Bro-in-law and their son when She was 4 years old.
She met her husband  Ron Woodward at the State fair the year they were 14.
She attended Marion Grade School 8 years. Jefferson High School 4 years.
After she married Ron they Lived 22 mo. in Alaska. Bought a lot on a homestead. Only 6 families of  them at that time. (Ron built a house no water or electric.( Big town now Eagle River.)  She was born to Foyd Bailey and Hazel Sherwood Bailey She has one brother Floyd (Jean) Bailey Jr.
Mildred has llived in Jefferson, Marion, Lyons, Albany, Salem Gervais, Silverton, Amity, Sheridan, Portland, Nehalem, Manzanita, OR. Soap Lake Wa. Mt. Wiew and Eagle River Alaska.
She has three daughters Winona (Charles) Spencer of Turner, Oregon, Rhonda (Dan)Flowers of Boring, Oregon; Rebecca (Bill) Bolding of Turner,Oregon, She also has.8  Granchildren and 13 Great G C. and 1GG Grandson.
Early in her married life she worked once at the old Gem Café in Stayton, & then the A & W in McMinville for 8 years. 3 years at the Question Mark Café in Lyons.
She was a busy worker at the Aumsville Church of God of Prophecy and the North Santiam Gleaners. She also loved family history and worked on a family geneology. We all remember her attention in finding just the right gifts for each person on birthdays and Christmas.
